Winter Wishes Stitched Felt from the Holiday Mini!

Winter Wishes stitiched felt door 002

I was browsing and found a card using this wreath on a "front door".  I can't find it again, but if it is yours, please let me know and I will give you credit.  I am concerned that the wreath is too thick for mailing and then add a ribbon and it will be even thicker.  What do you think?  I love the pop of color the ribbon adds but just wonder if it is too much.  The stitched felt is on page 30 of the Holiday mini for $9.95, 16 pieces, 4 each of a snowflake, wreath, holly, and mittens.  Cardstock is Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is from the Come to Bethlehem stamp set, page 42 of the big catalog.  The ribbon is the 3/8 inch quilted satin cherry cobbler from the mini, page 30, $7.95 for appox. 10 yards.

  1. hey Lynn, great card! And no, I don’t think the ribbon is “too much” at all, I think it really makes the card complete. Besides, if the card is already going to need a little extra postage from the wreath then why not send it in style? I saw this same “door” style card but for the life of me, I can’t remember where either…but it’s a very cute card and I really do like it better with the ribbon. I have given up and just buy 64 cent stamps when I get regular ones, everything sent in a clear envy needs extra postage anyway and it looks nice on the envy having just one postage stamp than a collection of different ones. Yea, crazy..but that’s my story and I am sticking with it!
