Embossing Ribbon
Here I embossed the satin ribbon from Stampin'Up!'s new Occasions Mini catalog by placing it in the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and running it through the Big Shot die cutting machine. You need to use spray starch to hold the detail but I am not sure if you use it before or after running it through. I do not have any starch (I don't iron, hee hee ) but I will buy some to experiment with this technique. I have pics on my blog using a couple of different colors.
Absolutely gorgeous, Lynn !!!! I love the picture with you and hubby…..so cute 🙂 !!
How fun is that!!!! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for posting your blog on Stampin’ Connection.
Hmm.. how long does it hold it’s shape? ALSO just wondering.. have you tried embossing with color so that you would have polka dot ribbon?
I wouldn’t trust it to hold its shape unless you used starch, which I haven’t tried yet. But I think it would look cool on a scrapbook page. Not sure what you mean about embossing with color. This was just through the folder.
I have done this using hair spray, I did it in Nov. ran it through the crimper and so far it is still crimped, I’ll have to try spray starch.
I think You do a great job. Thanks
