Stampin’Up!’s Petal Cone Die

This was very simple and quick to make using my Big Shot and the Petal Cone Die from the Occasions Mini catalog, page 15, #121810, $32.95.  I used Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Pretty in Pink cardstock.  See the adhesive pearl?  Those are on page 188 of the big catalog and are only $4.95 for 150 pearls (3 different sizes). Love these!  Notice the crimped leaves?  I folded the cardstock in half and ran it through the crimper.  Then you cut out a leaf as if you were going to make a Valentine heart.  Easy peasy and you get the leaf veins going the right direction.  I know some of you are thinking why not just punch with your circle or oval punch but it is not recommended to punch through more than one layer of cardstock! This simple technique was shown to us at Minneapolis Regionals last month! The flower is the Simple Flower embosslit, page 215, #114514, $11.95.  Buy these products and get a Sale A Bration item FREE! One free for each $50 purchased before tax and shipping. I am also showing the end and how it closes.  I have made others into little May Day baskets with ribbon for handles and the closing half circles folded down with the scalloped layered piece underneath which is also part of this Petal Cone Die. Oh, yes, please click the Facebook like button I added yesterday.  I want to see if it works!
