Cupcake Stand and Matching Card
Want a unique idea for bringing a muffin or cupcake to work for your co-worker, friend, or boss to celebrate their birthday? This is just a perfect way to present that thought/gift!
There was a similar idea for this stand at convention but then Robin Merriman got a swap from Elizabeth Hurst and made her own version using the Beautiful Butterflies die. I had already made this card so decided to make a matching stand for it. I put a muffin on the stand since I don't have any cupcakes. Isn't this just too darling! The card and stand also use the Scallop Circle #2 die, the 3 inch Circle die, and the Beautiful Wings embosslit. My Big Shot got a workout. You can die cut several of the shapes at a time when you use the Bigz Dies. The table/stand top is using the cardboard backing from the designer series package that was glued to the chocolate chip cardstock. The Blushing Bride cardstock is run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, and then on top of that I placed a punched out circle of parchment paper to protect it from the muffin. The stand itself is using the Beautiful Butterflies die and die cutting 3 of them, folding in half, and then adhering the 3 of them together to make a 3 "legged" stand. I used textured cardstock for the base.
love how you did this….these would be so cute at a party or shower…
I love this idea! What is holding the muffin up,one butterfly or is there something else there?
You die cut 3 of the butterflies, fold each in half and then adhere to each other to make a butterfly stand. If you look carefully, you can see another butterfly/table leg in the back.
This is absolutely adorable Lynn! Thanks for sharing!
Your blog is just what I was searching for. You have no
clue how long I have been thinking about the same exact thing!
I am so glad that I am no longer alone.
