Cable Knit Sweater Card
Love, love, love the new Dynamic Cable Knit Textured Embossing Folder. I googled cable knit sweaters and most every one has the knit design going vertically. I tweaked this idea from Tami White and Sue Parker. Their cards are gorgeous but do have the "ribbing" going horizontally. My sentiment is hard to see but it says "IT'S YOUR BIG DAY!" You could use whatever you like for your buttons. I used the Metal Rimmed Pearls and/or the Metallic Enamel Shapes. You could punch small circles and make them look like buttons or use your own retired stash of buttons. We will be making one of these cards for September Clubs! Remember you do not have to be local to participate in our clubs, and one month you get to be hostess and receive the hostess freebies! Supplies are listed below. Just click and order.
Here are more pictures of how I did this card. My card base is 4.25" x 11", scored at 5.5". I used Thick White Cardstock so that is why I used the Circles Framelits for the neck opening. If you use, the regular Whisper White or Very Vanilla, you may be able to punch a 2" circle. My sweater layer is 5.5" x 4.25'". My strips I did using a larger scrap piece of cardstock, and then scored on every groove with the Simply Scored. Then I cut in 1/2" strips. You need two strips that are 4.25" long, and two that are maybe 2.25", and one smaller strip that you will also trim for the pocket. If you have a crimper, you could also use this. Spritz your cardstock with water or alcohol before running through the Big Shot with the embossing folder. My neckline of the sweater was created by making a tick mark 1 1/8" inch from each side (shoulder), and then a tick mark in the top center at 2 1/8", then straight down from that center tick mark, make another tick mark about 1.5" down. Cut from the two outer tick marks to the lower center mark. I also trimmed the pocket piece to match up to my embossing.
