Faux Frames with Avant Garden stamp set and Balloon Adventures stamp set
This technique is called the Faux Frames technique and I was inspired by the talented Sandi MacIver, a Canadian demonstrator. If you google Stampin'Up! Faux Frames video, hers should come up. Basically, you have a clear window sheet that you draw your lines around after stamping and after first marking the corners with a pencil mark. Then you stamp, leaving your corners open (no stamping over the corners). Then you place your window sheet over, and draw your line with a fine tip black sharpie on the areas not stamped. My window sheet is 4" x 2 3/4", and my white pieces are either 4 3/4" x 3.5", or 5" x 3 3/4". Some I did a black layer that is 1/8" larger. The flower cards are pretty much a copy of Sandi's with a few tweaks, but the balloon one is my attempt. I used Wink of Stella Clear on my balloons adding a pretty shimmer! Supplies are below for both styles.
