Ribbon Storage and an Update on me

Ribbon Storage
These ribbon storage products are no longer available but I just had a piled up mess until last night!  After our downline meeting, one of my gals stayed after and when she saw my mess, suggested organizing it!  Bless you, Robin Neth!  Seriously I have a ribbon problem!  I have duplicates and unopened rolls of so many current ribbons!  Does anyone else have this problem?  Had a great meeting last night, making plans to attend convention!  I registered on Monday, and 4 that were here last night will be attending, along with a couple of other gals that weren't here.  Woo hoo!  Getting so excited!  I have my room and my plane ticket.  The gals at the meeting will be driving!  Sorry I have been MIA the last couple of weeks with just sporadic posts.  I found out I have thyroid cancer so am looking at surgery and treatment in the coming weeks.  I am doing fine but would appreciate the prayers.  I am trying to stay positive but every so often, those scary thoughts start creeping in. I just want the surgery done and don't want it to interfere with convention.  My sister and I fly in early, several days before convention starts, so we can have our own vacation before we get busy stamping!  Please continue to visit my blog and I will try and start posting more often.  Happy crafting!

  1. Lynn, I’ve been following your blog for awhile now for ideas. I’m a SU demonstrator also but haven’t ventured into doing my own blog. I read about your thyroid cancer diagnosis. Keep a positive attitude. My daughter is in the health care field and she recently had a cyst removed from her thyroid that was non-cancerous. She was told that if you were going to get cancer, the “best” one to get is thyroid cancer because unless it’s found too late or there’s complications, once they remove your thyroid, the cancer is gone. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for a great recovery. Felicia Karst, Spokane, Washington

  2. I ditto what Felicia said, Lynn. I was told in 1995 that I had thyroid cancer from the nuclear dye test. When they went in to remove the right lobe, however, and did the biopsy, it turned out to NOT be cancer. But even if it is, I also learned that it responds immediately to radiation and, of course, millions of people live normal lives without thyroids.
I managed until two years ago with just half my thyroid and no meds, but now I take 25 micrograms of synthetic thyroid every day. I have about eight nodules in the left lobe that are looked at via ultrasound every few months.
I have added you to my prayer list and hope your surgery went well. I will check back to see how you are doing. All the best!! xxoo Darnell
